בעידן של פיתוח אינטרנט מודרני, אני מחשיב את Gatsby ו-Next.js כאפשרויות הטובות ביותר להשגת ביצועים גבוהים, מדרגיות וחווית משתמש מצוינת. נכון לעכשיו, אני מפתח יישומי אינטרנט באמצעות Gatsby וגם Next.js, ומנצל את מלוא הפוטנציאל שלהם ליצירת פתרונות חזקים ויעילים.
הרקע שלי בפיתוח מערכות הוא נרחב. התחלתי לתכנת ב-Basic ב-1984, ובסביבות 1987, התחלתי ליצור מערכות ב-DBase III Plus ו-Turbo Pascal עבור MS-DOS העתיק. לבסוף, מצאתי פרנסה ב-CA Clipper. באמצע שנות ה-90, גיליתי את דלפי (בעצם פסקל עבור Windows) וביליתי את העשור הזה בפיתוח מערכות על הפלטפורמה הזו.
בשנת 2002 התחלתי לפתח אתרים עם PHP ו-MySQL. בשנת 2012, מצאתי את Zend Framework 1 בתור המלווה המושלם להכנת PHP מונחה עצמים. עם ZF יכולנו ליצור לא רק דפי אינטרנט ב-PHP, אלא מערכות אינטרנט שלמות, כמעט כפי שנעשה בדלפי, אבל עם היתרון שהם עבדו באינטרנט ובכל הפלטפורמות, לא רק ב-Windows. בשנת 2014 העברתי את מערכות הליבה שלי ל-Zend Framework 2 והשתמשתי ב-Bootstrap כחזית הקצה, אם כי זה התברר כרעיון רע.
בשנת 2018, גיליתי את הכוח של React.js והתחלתי לפתח עם Gatsby, ביצוע מספר פרויקטים עם המסגרת הזו. לפני כשנתיים התחלתי לעבוד גם עם Next.js ומאז אני משתמש בשתי המסגרות לפיתוח אינטרנט מודרני. Next.js מאפשר רינדור בצד השרת (SSR), יצירה סטטית (SSG) ותכונות עוצמתיות אחרות, בעוד ש-Gatsby נהדר עבור אתרים סטטיים מהירים ומותאמים.
לניהול תוכן אני מנהל מספר Headless CMS כמו Strapi, Contentful ואפילו WordPress, מה שמאפשר לי לשלב פתרונות גמישים המותאמים לצרכי כל פרויקט.
